Minerva with marble stand
Description
Small bronze statuette of Minerva dressed in Roman armour and helmet, standing on a small round base, left leg straight, right leg slightly bent, right arm raised from the elbow and holding the top of a lance, the base of which rests by her feet, left arm held out from her body, left hand holding her shield, the base of which rests near her feet, mounted on a nineteenth century circular red marble shaft above a square chamfered black marble base.The figure probably a nineteenth century after-cast and of indifferent quality.
