Engraving of Thomas Crofton Croker, published by James Fraser after Daniel Maclise. This engraving comes from Page 49 of The Maclise Portrait Gallery of Illustrious Literary Characters with Memoirs by William Bates. Thomas Crofton Croker was an Irish antiquary. He had a keen insterest in folklore and fairy tales. His main book was Fairy Legends and Traditions of the South of Ireland. He assisted in the foundation of both the Camden Society and the Percy Society.
