John Wilson Croker was an author where he published books satirising Irish theatre and Dublin society. He also edited an edition of Boswell's Life of Johnson in 1831 and was a frequent contributor to the Quarterly Review and wrote many other books inclusing Military Events of the French Revolution. He was also an MP for various constituencies and served as Secretary to the Admiralty from 1809 - 1830.
