Image of Tunbridge Wells in Kent with visitors to the wells and characters of the town in August 1748, Etching after T Loggan, 1804. The original Thomas Loggan drawing of Tunbridge Wells, the Upper Walk was for a fan. The key to this image of who each person is, is TEMP E229. The majority of other examples have both of these attached. Some of the characters depicted are Samuel Johnson and his wife, David Garrick, William Pitt, Duchess of Norfolk and many others.
