Seal-top spoon. Baluster acanthus scroll and fluted knop.Hexagonal stem, privked, gilded. See also S 278, edxotic figure knop which has same maker's mark.

Seal-top spoon English Silver, later-gilded, about 1640 S274 Sir William arranged his extensive collection of early spoons in three circular shields with medals in their centres. These were among the objects he lent to the National Exhibition in Leeds in 1868.
