Tea bowl and saucer Chelsea Porcelain Factory Soft-paste porcelain, between 1749 and 1752 P231 Bequest of James Calder, 1944 Japanese Kakiemon ware was also popular in the West. It is characterised by asymmetrical designs in soft red, yellow, blue and turquoise enamels that emphasise the fine white porcelain. It was much copied by factories in England, France and Germany.
