Description
Roman gold coin. Gold Aureus of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar minted under Antoninus Pius between 145 - 160 AD. Obverse: AURELIUS CAESAR AUG PII F. Bust of Marcus Aurelius, bare hearded and facing right. Reverse: COS II. Minerva helmeted and wearing a cloak. Standing right and holding a veritcal spear in the right hand and resting left hand on a shield set in the ground.
