Description
Roman silver coin Roman Empire Ar Quinarius; Issued by Emperor Augustus Obverse; -- CAESAR IMP VII with the Head of Octavian looking right. Reverse;- Victory draped standing left holding a wreath in right hand and palm in the left, on cista mystica between two snakes. Inscription: ASIA RECEPTA. This means Asia Recovered and refers to the when Octavian regained the Asian Provinces and Client States for the Roman Empire.
