A lady's escritoire or writing cabinet, pine veneered in satinwood, the writing table fitted with a single drawer below, beneath which is now an open shelf, formerly enclosed by glazed doors; above the writing surface two small cupboards with a middle shelf for books. In the style of Thomas Sheraton, Cabinet-Maker's and Upholsterer's Drawing Book, 2nd Edition, 1794, Plate 64.
