- Side chair, veneered in walnut, English c. 1720-25.The frame of beech veneered in walnut with applied walnut carved details, The back formed of scrolled uprights and curved top, central carved splat with shell motif at the top and stylised scrolling acanthus leaves on either side, connected to the side uprights approx. two-thirds of the way down. The seat frame also of beech veneered in walnut, with applied carved shell at centre front, with drop-in seat pad covered with contemporary but not original needlework, the cabriole legs carved with pronounced shells on the front knees and ball and claw feet.
