Open carved armchair with upholstered back and seat, mahogany, English c. 1775. The chair in early Neo-Classical style, with oval back formed of mahogany frame with upholstered panel supported on two shaped uprights, arms with small upholstered pads and curved uprights, all with simple repetitive neo classical carved ornament, the seat stuffed ove and upholstered in modern fabric, slender cabriole legs.
