Circa 1830 The case modelled in the form of the west front of Rheims cathedral, the rose window dial with Roman enamel chapters and blued steel hands, the timepiece movement with going barrel and anchor escapement, the backplate signed Le Roy & Fils Hgers de Roy A Paris No. 2413 with trip lever to a separate striking movement below wound though the lower window and with strike on a gong; with a purpose-made perspex dome
