She is supported, kneeling on her two splaying tails which bend upwards behind her, the right tail supporting her right elbow, the left tail supporting her left forearm and elbow. She is raised up on a cone of Acanthus leaves, which is pierced in the center by a hole, possibly for a pen.The base is formed of three female winged torsi, on bases of acanthus leaves and lionpaw feet. Upper torsi are banded by girdles just below the belt. They are armless but with outstretched wings and elaborate headdresses and flowing locks. The figures are joined at the wingtips by cast drapery.Fitting into the stand is a lead inkpot, perforated in the center.
