Winged naked Apollo with lyre, bronze, 19thC
Description
A small bronze hollow-cast statuette of winged Apollo, naked except for strap across chest, standing on an iregularly shaped base, right leg straight, left leg slightly bent, right arm lowered beside him, right hand holding a purse(?), left arm hidden behind a lyre, fingers resting on the top of the instrument, which rests on a grooved pedstal, the head of Apollo recognisable by his curled locks, mounted on a square three-coloured marble base.Probably a nineteenth century copy after the antique.
