Cup and saucer Meissen Porcelain Factory Hard-paste porcelain, about 1750 C410 Decorative flowers range from the stylised to the botanically accurate. These Meissen cups and saucers (P247 and C410) are identical beneath their painted decoration. On one set the raised plum-blossom decoration is inlaid with gold and mother of pearl and imitates Oriental black lacquer. On the other the Chinese blossom is disguised as forget-me-nots and surrounded by sprays of naturalistic European flowers.
