Description
Plate, English, COalport, c. 1850. Porcelain decorated with relief moulding, enamel colours and gilding. The plate with wavy rim, deep turquoise blue ground with gilt floral decoration in relief and gilt outside edge; on the inner side of the rim a gilt scroll and dentelle border framing the middle of the plate on which is painted, in enamel colours, a pastoral scene of a young man, a girl playing a bagpipe, a child, two dogs and two lambs.One of a pair with C 301Imitation of Sevres porcelain
