Printmaking allowed Frink to experiment with her range of images and motifs, such as birds. In this tale of romance, the artist rendered the falcon in more detail than the figure, depicting a seemingly gentle relationship between character and animal. Her style was not concerned with representation, but rather with conveying the spirit of her subjects.
