Ribbon puller Ford and Williams of Bath Silver, about 1785–90 2016.4 gift from Timothy Kent The ribbon puller is typical of the ‘fancy goods’ sold in toyshops at the end of the eighteenth century. The ibis-shaped ribbon puller was for threading ribbon through hats or clothing. Silversmiths John Ford and John Williams had a shop in Bath. The family were also milliners.
