Fan, probably Chinese, early 19th century.Solid sticks of thinly cut rosewood with rounded serrated tops, linked by white ribbon, painted in gold with a decorative band of flowers along the tops of the sticks, the centre sticks varnished and decorated in gold with a continuous scene of Chinese figures in a lansdscape with trees, flowers and a fence, small Chinese figures on the guards, mother of pearl rivet stud, the reverse plain.
