Description

Large oval miniature on ivory: head and shoulders portrait of a lady facing forward, head turned half profile to right with downward gaze. Powdered hair covered with dark veil, blue eyes, aquiline nose, melancholy expression. Pink nightgown with red-brown sash. Blue cloak or scarf. Greenish background. Gilt metal frame with hanging loop. Blue glass on the reverse.
