A quartet music stand, English, c. 1789-90, mahogany with brass fittings. Quadrangular frame with four stretchers, fittings under the frame for attaching to missing lower section of stand, a hole in the centre block, possibly for a finial, brass fittings at each corner, possibly for candlesticks, four triangular rising music rests with ratchets and extending arms for supporting sheet music.
