Dessiné sur le Remparts a Berne - The outskirts of the city of Bern by J L Aberli. Johann Ludwig Aberli (1723 - 1786) was a Swiss painter and etcher known for painting landscapes and was teacher at the drawing school in Bern and then established his own workshop in the 1750s with a publishing company to issue his works. His students included Adrian Zingg and Samuel Hieronymus Grimm.
